Trudel and Andre Kroecher's Wedding

Our wedding celebration took place on my parent's spacious garden patio overlooking Howe Sound and Bowen Island. As Jess and I got ready in my old room overlooking the huge front yard, we watched guests arriving by the dozens. Where were they all coming from? I had no idea we knew so many people! Old friends and new, old neighbours and new, relatives arrived from Germany, Californina and Washington; everyone came to join in our celebration. The 70 or so chairs were soon filled, and many of the young folk had to stand "in the wings"

The Procession

Jess, Papa and I emerged from the living room onto the balcony overlooking the guests assebled on the patio below to the cue of Ashley's specially selected wedding march. We disappeared onto the upper patio, down the winding stairs into the gardens, and eventually emergying on the patio, wall to wall with people!

The Ceremony

Guests seated in the sun along both wings of the patio as the wedding party stands in the shade of the canopy. Camera-men Gord (at left) and Ian (at right) capture the ceremony as boats and ferries sail the waters behind. A picture perfect setting!

Hmmm, isn't this supposed to be a happy occassion? I guess we were just kind of overwhelmed by it all (and a pounding headache on my part didn't help). Andre's brother, Ashley, was Best Man and my best friend, Jess, was Maid of Honour.
