Carpenter Lake - looking NW from Cedar Creek
In all our 15 years together, we've never gone out for the day with the sole purpose to just drive. A classic Sunday Drive, if you will. So we set out in this rather large Ford F350 - diesel (stick) to give our newest addition a test run on our stomping grounds: the notoriously rough Hurley FSR which connects Pemberton to the tiny town of Goldbridge (pop. 43) and the amazing backcountry of the South Chilcotins, as well as the Duffey Lake road.

We purchased the truck in Spokane, WA on Sept. 16, just 3 weeks ago. Andre drove it all the way back, but as I had to drive my Beetle back, I didn't get that "new, first drive" experience.
